In self-help, there exists a multitude of skills to make manifests the dreams that you have in your life. The vast majority of these centers around some type of visualization or mental projection to make the desired changes upon your life in your environment.
Many people who have tried these programs may have become disappointed and disillusioned when the results aren’t forthcoming in a way that may have been led to believe. As alluded to at the beginning of the book most of these programs lack effectiveness because the quality of their results depends upon the Quality of the persons thinking.
Most mental processes including visualization are governed largely by the Quality of the thinking put behind them. Results can be attained to some degree through repetitive effort. The diligent practitioner will in time developed his/her mental skills to some degree during execution.
Most of the programs and methods focus on cognitive skills primarily.
Programs that focus on mental development tend to be separate and are often looked at as some vague form of mental conditioning. There exists in our world today very little correlation between developing the Quality of Thinking in line with making specific changes in your life.
The effectiveness of manifesting through thought is directly linked to the Quality of that thought. Just like in the world there exist in the mind active and passive thoughts. The key to developing an effective system for making desired life changes hinges on understanding the nature of active and passive thinking. It also is dependent on understanding the feedback system between the action we perform in the world around us and the actions the world performs upon us.
